O.C. apparel maker to hire 200

Hybrid Apparel in Cypress is expanding into Quiksilver's former distribution center in Huntington Beach and hiring 200 new workers.
The company, which makes logo clothing under a variety of licenses 
ranging from the Muppets to Levi's and Jimi Hendrix, will keep its creative team in the 100,000 square feet it has in its corporate offices in Cypress. The new 177,000-square-foot-facility will give Hybrid room to expand, company officials said. The move-in date is Dec. 1.
“Despite the tough economic times, Hybrid is doing exceptionally well,” said Jarrod Dogan, owner and president. “This reallocation of space enables us to become more vertical. Plus, it is a great opportunity to help boost the Orange County economy by creating more than 200 new jobs.”
Hybrid said the new facility will include a screenprint and finishing operation that will employ 100 to 120 people. Another 80 to 100 people will be hired for shipping, receiving and quality control.
Most of these new workers will be hired through temp agencies, said the company.

American Apparel Sets Layoffs Tied to Immigration Probe

Tex do you know anything about that "American Apparel" line? There is a store in La Jolla and everytime I go by it I am embarassed to have such crappy clothes with the name "American" on them.

The country and states are broke. Lower wage jobs went overseas. Thought they'd save a buck. Nothing like cutting off the hand that feeds you. Blame the people who hire the illegals, too. I clean my own house, do my own yard, take care of my own kid, wash my own car. The illegals took the jobs that our teens and uneducated people used to do. I'm all for immigrants coming here, but they must not make our one country into 30. There should not be one dime given to illegals because they have their children here and live off of our welfare system. The entitlement mentality has to stop. You're not entitlled to anything. You must give to others when you are blessed.

You should get your facts right before you post a comment on this article. You see statistics show that illegal immigrants are less likely to use public assitance programs (even if they have kids) compared to natives of the United States. However if you still believe they "live off of welfare" perhaps then you would like to send these innocent kids to an orphanage.Therefore seperating a family and sending these kids to a place that is already to an excess of its capacity. Therefore the governemet would get more of your precious tax money or perhaps you would like to adopt this kid? Hmm what if the person that is "living off of welfare" is already a grown person with no kids? Please let me know if you or any of your friends would like to adopt these thousands of little kids.
